Description
This piece was originally a small vignette ink drawing for a book “Prayers to the Morrigan” (an anthology of prayers and poems, edited and written by Stephanie Woodfield and Karen Storminger)
I had always wanted to expand on it later and now feel the image of The Morrigan as Badb the bearer of souls, with all her animal aspects surrounding her as she waits to extend a hand to guide the dead across the veil.
The Morrigan in this form is my guide when I journey in spirit, she walks with me into the mists, a familiar presence by my side as I look into the shadows of my mind.
