Description
This image was inspired by the last chapter in the ‘Prayers to the Morrigan’ book titled ‘Prayers for Times of Grief’. The prayers in this chapter I found profoundly soothing, the Morrigan in her crone aspect as the washer at the ford holds space for our grief and shares in our sorrows. She is the guide to those who have passed through the veil, and although we mourn their loss we are calmed with the knowledge they are in her safe embrace. In this image we honour the dead and hold space for the living.
